I have been on duloxtine for 7 days now for anxiety! I have been suffering with cronic migranes before medication and feeling spaced out and detached 24.7 from reality with horrible doom feelings all the time like living in a very dark place psychiatrist said it’s more anxiety than depression! I can’t even go into shops without going dizzy eyes going funny and head just feels numb and no mental clarity and disconnected it’s pure evil! And the duloxtine is making my anxiety worst headaches are worst feel more depressed and feel sick to my stomach will this get better 💔😩

You should stop immediately and ask a doctor or whoever prescribed it to you about it also when you take any pills make sure you eat because it makes you feel horrible taking pills on an empty stomache. there might also be things you are feeling that are not direct side affects.Have you been eating well any feelings of not being hungry?that might be the direct side effect while you are eating less the other effects happen like dizziness, blackouts, feeling weak , severe headaches, and not being able to focus.Well thats all i have to say for now hope you feel better soon!

Seen psychiatrist today she said give it another week if no change maybe we stop it or increase it? And yes am eating ok drinking lots of water! Neroligist diagnosed me with some type of migrane which can make u constantly detached and spaced out it’s horrendous no relief at all from it

Hi, yes definitely discuss with you Dr, I tried several meds before duloxotine, and had to change them, im on a very low dose now and seem ok

I have found that although venlaphaxine (another snri) works well for me, if I ever increase the dose it makes me feel rubbish for a week or so. I would say try to stick with it, the initial side effects should wear off in another week or less, if they don't then speak to your doc again.

Hope you feel better soon x

Try and stick with Duloxetine as it’s a very good anti depressants. When you change over it’s always hard at first, it took me 3 months to feel ok after changing to Mirtazapine. GP gave me Valium to take when feeling really poorly. Good luck

I found that medication alone did not eliminate my anxiety. It took learning what was really going on with the anxiety and how to learn to accept the anxious thoughts and feelings to be able to heal from it. Anxiety is a paradox, the more you fight it and resist it, the more it persists. I recommend reading the DARE Anxiety book or books by Dr. Claire Weekes about how to allow and accept it, they both have good videos on youtube that are helpful. Also learning and practicing simple mindfulness is helpful for realizing that you are not your thoughts and being able to let them flow in and out and not believe them.

I am on duloxetine and it seems to help with daytime anxiety. (Trazadone is great at night.) The dulo gives me slight nausea and the runs from time to time, though less than when I started.

What diagnosis do you have?
