Only If you don't mind sharing... I am just curious what helps you all individually with your anxiety and or Panic Attacks? How do you cope?
What do you do for yourself to help yourself feel better?
Is there something you do for yourself on a daily basis to help cope?
Do you take meds? Or Daily Vitamins supplements? Special diets?
BONUS QUESTION!!!! Do you have a unusual ritual you do? I do!!! I smother vicks vapo rub all over myself before bed... because the vapors are soothing for me 😂🥴 lol and I use the vicks inhaler probably more often than I should. Please share your secrets... I will NOT judge.
*Perhaps by sharing your coping mechanisms whether they are simple, comprehensive or even flat out wacky we might help someone else. 😉

One of the things I do to help alleviate anxiety is play certain PC video games -- I find it's a good diversion. I always play on the easiest difficulty to keep stress to a minimum (I'm lousy at gaming), and generally play open-world games where I can relax, pace myself, and explore.
OMG I have got to try the vicks vapor rub!! I'm sure I would love that! I like this idea of asking everyone to post what they do to help their panic/anxiety attacks because we can all learn from each other😊 Being diagnosed and suffering from GAD it took me awhile to find things to calm me down and I still am to this day, it's definitely more situational as well as trial and error. I take anti depressants every morning and increasing my dosage has helped me calm down, I also take Hydroxyzine as needed which also helps me when I need that extra push as well, I really enjoy bubble baths at night that help me decompress. I've also noticed my decrease in social media usage has helped as well because I am focusing more on myself. I also like to binge watch shows when I get home from work as well as listening to podcasts in the car to keep my mind busy on other things. I also use a Christian meditation app for that extra boost I need on some days 🥰
That's great. Hey I use a Christian meditation app most evening too to help me unwind. 😀 I use Abide and I have the youversion Bible and tune into videos on there as well that has been helpful lately
I've had anxiety for years and I am the same way still finding new things and learning how to help myself. And the youverson app is great because not only can you read different versions of the Bible but you can do daily devotions and "plans" There are so many plans to choose from. I look forward to reading and watching the videos in my daily plans.
I play my Playstation and nightly I put in headphones turn out the lights lay in bed listening to thisyoutu.be/X5cihmzDLJk I guess it's medication in a way but my mind goes blank and I can feel the sound through my body
I take a mild antidepressant but find that recognizing my emotions is the best way to counter them. A few things I have incorporated into my life include getting alone and quiet in a restful state; listening to hymns; praying specifically for relief and peace; and separating myself from the trigger. I agree that social media is a huge negative and i try to avoid it at night. A good nighttime routine of reading, music, eucalyptus vapouriser helps me get into a restful state.
Hi Luna, One of my "go to" things is (as mrmonk posted) is my pc games. I find even simple match 3 games oddly calming and satisfying. I don't play anything dark nor games that are strategic in nature. Just colorful, calming easy games. It helps me anyway. xgracy
I love 80s music too. I love Hall and Oats lol. A-ha, Journey, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Wham, Foreigner. And so much more. They always lift my spirits.
That's great you're going to the gym. I wish I could. I did try but I felt uncomfortable like embarrassed or afraid to be judged, My husband tried taking me he loves the gym and thrives in it... then there is me, in the corner hiding from everyone because I am super shy. Maybe I'll try again in the future. Who knows? But, I know what you mean about the post workout feeling
Lol. I have been putting Vicks on for years😂 and or peppermint oil. I get headaches that brings on anxiety- or maybe it’s vice a versa😂, but either way- it’s very calming. I meditate with prayer, yoga, listen to Claire Weekes youtubes, read, play Christian music, and work out.
