I started a new job 7 months ago. In that time the manager that hired me retired and now I have a new boss I’m not a fan of. I’m finding myself under qualified for my position and my “mentor” and manager just keep piling more projects for me to work on. I have back to back meetings about different topics and it overwhelms me. I’m not sure where to find the time to actually work on projects..
I’ve never worked for men or workaholics before.. could this be part of the issue? I’m very shy and have a hard time talking to my boss or mentor without crying.
My work/life balance sucks, I can’t sleep because this shit is always on my mind..
I don’t know what I want to do in life and people always ask me that when I complain about my jobs… has anyone else ever felt that way??

Just an idea, would it be possible to take a short holiday somewhere so you could have a bit of a break from the job. Also there are lots of you tube meditation videos. If you find that your desk is too busy, would it be possible to read your notes somewhere else, maybe outside?
I like the meditation idea. I started working out to try to blow off steam, it helps but doesn’t cure. I’m thinking I should take a couple “sick” days soon. Just for my mental health sake.
I wish I could go outside right now. I live in Minnesota. Very chilly!
