Zolpediem Stilnox Abuse

My husband has had 2 brain hemorrhages 8 months apart. It appears he has an AVM and surgery too risky. It’s been 2 years since the last one and he is doing great physically. However he has been in Zolpediem (Stilnox) for many years and just recently started over medicating himself taking up to 3 a night. The tragic result of this is he is now experiencing the worst mental health problems… from utter detachment and inability to show emotion to crippling bouts of vertigo and massive anxiety. He is on Seroquel 25mg and has 150mg a day. This happened almost overnight and we are at our wits end. Unfortunately he is still on the Stilnox under strict supervision and 1 at night, because the doctor said we have to wean him off, hopefully down to half and then zero. He is willing to try anything to get himself better. He is scared of the person he has become and is in desperate need of help for what I can only assume is a huge chemical inbalance from the dreaded pill. Should be taken off the shelves forever!!

So sorry about your husband. He is so lucky to have a loving and compassionate wife such as U. Agreed some meds R very dangerous and should be taken off market. It’s good that your husband has a positive attitude. U 2 will get thru this. I’m here 4Hugs 🤗 Shnookie

Thank you Schnookie. One day at a time! So frustrating, up and down like a yo-yo.

I had that problem and one night I collapsed.Could you try telling your husband that he must Wait for the prescribed dose to kick in and try just one night.

It's a worry for you.

God bless 🙏
