Afraid of my thoughts

I'm afraid of my own thoughts. I can't handle them at all. I can't do anything because of them and mostly I'm scared to go to sleep because my thoughts run through my head. Everytime i try to sleep, i have flashbacks and I can't stop it even if i have tried several methods

Is there a PTSD support group nearby?

I don't have PTSD so is there anyone in here with it who can help?

Usually I don't have much trouble falling asleep coz at the end of the day I'm pretty tired( football and studies) and I fall asleep easily so try to get tired at the end of the day like do some exercise, or walk or something that makes you feel exhausted and makes you say ' it's enough for today i will continue tomorrow🥱'. And we can't shut down our thoughts, brain is wired to think 24/7 but we can try to divert our thoughts to something positive. Try to create an imaginary world in your mind where you have the power to do anything. Like you want to go to a place let's say Eiffel tower, then imagine yourself with your friends having fun there. Or imagine you can fly 🕊️. Try to end the day with positive thoughts

Anything positive or happy will work. The more time you spend in such a state, the less time you are in the negative state which starves the beast.

It really is, because mood disorders never stand still. They are either being fed or starved, depending on your reaction/behavior.
