Struggling

Just having a rough week. My anxiety is a little less severe, but depression is there too. I don't seem to feel better until the last few hours of the day. I'm growing weary. I left a message with my psychiatric nurse Friday. We increased my Lexapro 8 weeks ago. I don't think it's helped at all. Lorazepam or Propranolol are getting me through.

Hello, I’m so sorry ❤️ It seems like you are pushing through as best as you can. My daughter was on Lexapro for 8 months and it did not help her at all she was at highest dosage. She is now on Prozac. It has only been a couple weeks, but so far , it seems like somewhat better *knock on wood* do you have any family to lean on?

That's encouraging! Yes, my husband and kids are great. I also have two friends supporting me. I think he wants to try buspirone next.

The meds combos is always a shot in the dark. Keep going until you find one that works.

Do you live somewhere where it is gloomy weather and dark well before supper? My psychiatrist wants me to try light therapy this winter. 30 minutes at home with a special lamp.

This too shall pass. It is ok to feel down for a few days at a time, but then you need to take action. It could simply be walking. Get your blood pumping and endorphins flowing.
