After a very stressful period in my life, that is life changing and my biggest life challenge for a long while, I have had to start taking 10 mg of citalopram again ! I noticed the changes straight away mood improved, stress reduced, the challenge in my life became less of a problem. So we do need to take medication as well as work on our thinking , as we change our thinking along the way the meds are necessary. Ray.

All is thought, or so I thought !
gerrerd, I totally believe that there is a time and place to be on medication. It doesn't mean we are defeated by any means. Good for you in not fighting
the idea that right now it's more than just thought that is needed.
Thank you for being so honest. We respect your wisdom and advice. xx
Agreed. Happy to hear you found some good ones!
Hello mon Ami Gerrerd. This is Shnookie. So happy 😀 that the meds have made U feel better. I agree with the other posts. Sometimes we need to take meds combined with positive actions to make R lives move forward. It is very gutsy of U to compose this post. I’m here 4 U
Hugs 🤗 Shnookie.
Thank you gerrerd I am hoping I will be able to go on medication soon and start to feel better your posts are very inspirational x
Hi this Shnookie. I’m here 4 U. Wishing U good luck in obtaining your meds. It’s very proactive of U to take control of your mental health.
Hugs 🤗 S
We all have set backs and they are not failures. Life can get very difficult and many of us need meds to get through. There is no shame in taking meds. We should be grateful that science can help us.
All is not thought. All is whatever we need to move forward.

Hi this is Shnookie. I agree with U 💯 %. Ihave an uncle who is having anxiety and panic attacks that have negatively affected his health. My mother’s side of the family has generations of mental health illnesses. I have in an empathetic manner suggested to my uncle that he needs to address the anxiety issues. He seems to have trouble
dealing with the issue of possibly taking psychotropic meds to help reduce his anxiety. I told him that it is not a shame to address his mental health issues. I texted him tonight to see how he was doing and he did not respond to it. I will text him again in a few days. I hope he follows my suggestion. He has become physically ill from the anxiety and I don’t want his health to further deteriorate.
Hi Shnookie: Some people put up a " stop" sign at the thought of meds. I hope your uncle is able to see how you are trying to help him. Meds don't have to be for life for everyone.
You are right, anxiety can do so much damage to our physical health.
No shame at all. It may take multiple things to bring us to a point of feeling better.
I hope you can help him. Living with anxiety will effect our quality of life.
