Good morning, I am sorry to hear that you are going through this. Our minds can be so evil to us. It can be very hard to turn them off, which I'm sure everyone on this forum has wanted to do that time to time. I don't personally exercise like I should or do yoga. I've heard they help so I am going to take the others advice and try this as well. I've noticed just finding my own little hobbies to do by myself are fun and distressing as well. I love to bake and cook so I often search new things to do and try to make them. There's so much concentration in it it's easier to get your mind off the painful things. I also enjoy cleaning (I know most people don't) but it leads for a clean house and gets your mind off as well. It almost feels like a "job well done" when I'm finished and boosts my self confidence up. Hopefully you find something for yourself that will help take your mind off. Good luck friend, I hope your day gets better :)

You are right, talking to others is a good suggestion. Sometimes I feel like a burden but no sense feeling bad when there are people willing to listen. Thanks!

I agree, focusing on something did help some. I did a little writing and got lost in it for awhile. Thanks for the reminder of finding a different focus.

Check out the YouTube channel called Therapy in a Nutshell. Not all her videos have helped me but some have. One of the things that has helped is when I'm having a catastrophizing thought I tell my brain, "Thanks for that thought but we're not buying in right now." It's a good way to tell your brain that you acknowledge the thought or feeling but then be able to move on and not dwell on it. There are some other things that have helped as well.

ZERO_ZEN I can't tell you how many times I've talked out loud toAnxiety..."This is my life and I will do what I need to do" and then move

forward in Action. It has worked for me many times over :) xx
