I am into data so I spotted this super cool visualization. You do not have to be into data. This person with bipolar recorded her mood with different shapes. Then she transferred it to this interactive visualization to share her experience with others.
You can do this in analog form. Record your mood with shapes that make sense to you on a postcard or journal and visually see the patterns over time. It is a beautiful way to see how your moods change and you don't have to write down the words which can be stressful.
If the link doesn't work it is public.tableau.com. search for shazeera zawawi. It is called "My State of Mind".
