Any advice on how to deal with a break up from someone you’ve been with for 10 years? Feels like the earth is shattering around me. Not sure how to get motivation to move, energy to eat or any hope that things get better. I have chronic depression and this has made things incredibly worse. I just feel so lost

Helen, I'm sorry this has happened to you. 10 years is a long time. Unfortunately, affairs of the heart need time to heal before going forward as we must.
Now is the time to gather whatever strength within you and focus on your healing.
Spending time thinking about just you. What you've learned from this experience in life.
It's time to take care of Helen. We can't crumble because someone has left our life.
We need to be our own person, love ourselves and affirm that we can and will go forward
one step at a time. No matter how long it takes, time is our healer. My best to you xx
Hi Helen, I am so sorry this has happened. I was with my ex-husband for 22 years when he left. It was devastating. I got into counseling to start. Do you have someone you can make an appointment with? I can connect you with a licensed, professional counselor at no cost to you. Let me know if you'd like their number. I also joined a recovery group at a local church. It was a program that helped me deal with what I was going through and meet other women who were in similar situations. It was very helpful. I also spent time being with friends and trying new things. It takes time and definitely isn't easy but things will start to feel better in time. Allow yourself to feel what you are feeling and be gentle with yourself. I am sending a big hug your way right now💕
