When you are better and then worse

I think I was doing better over the last few months and then my doctor sticks me on Lexapro an I get an ear infection (unrelated but at the same time) These two actions have thrown me way off. I am off the lexapro but it really made for a tough month and the ear thing was taken care of by ENT. I am now trying to get back to a normal and it has been challenging. My doctor wants to try another antidepressant and I am not willing. She also made me worry about my increase in PVCs (she did ekg). I am.under the care of a cardiologist for this and stress and anxiety increase them. So it's just alot to think through. I am ok and I know it but why can't doctors stop prescribing more meds and making anxious more anxious when they know the cause/effect?

I find antidepressant very difficult. This is my 4th attempt on one and not a fan. I rather manage my symptoms and not have my brain feel.like it weighs 1000lbs. I have anxiety.. not really depression and I think the meds.make.me depressed.

they prescribe SSRI drugs without testing serotonin levels - if you don't lack serotonin then an SSRI serotonin drug is not going to help and can even make you feel worse Do you eat raw oats for breakfast - oats are proven to help your heart and are good for nerves too

Thanks I will try steel cut oatmeal. That is suppose to be good.

Yes my doctor said that the ssri is not good for me. She recommended Effexor which has nnri or something like that. I agree the SSRI made me.worse.

I totally sympathize. What you are going through is tough. For now, I would trust yourself. You can always revisit the medications at a later time. Hugs. ❤️
