When my anxiety is sky high and My mind starts feeling sorry for itself I like to think of the rest of the animals on earth and their anxiety.

“Look at that bunny, he’s prob anxious as hell trying to get some nibbles in the yard before I let my dogs out to pee”

What about the squirrels who are used to a full feeder only to be disappointed when the bear eats it all”

Easy day gone to sh@t for the squirrel right?

Suddenly that easy day turned into a lot of work mr/mrs squirrel!?

Best part is....all of these animals are suffering ALONE in their heads.....just like us.

All different personalities. No meds.

No therapy.

They do it everyday or give up.

Seems to make my struggles a bit less hard to swallow 🙏❤️

I’ve thought about that too. What the bunnies and squirrels have going for them is that they live in the “now”. They don’t worry about what other bunnies or squirrels think of them, or how they haven’t lived up to some ideal they have in their heads. They don’t beat themselves up psychologically. They just are, and they seem fine with that. And think about Golden Retrievers They are just so happy to be dogs! We could learn a lot from our animal friends. I know I could! Thanks for that insight 😊

Yes my 4 mongrels teach me a lot about accepting and moving forward.

Animals don’t play victim or blame.

No resentment.

Nobody else’s fault.

No ego.

Thanks for the words friend!

Catsamaze I had to laugh at what you said about Golden Retrievers. It’s so true. They are happy to be a dog, they are happy to be your dog, they are just happy! Lucky creatures!

I find out dog's intolerance of shouting acts as a moderator . We all know we are gettinhg too loud or cross , and its time to tone down when she heads for the door!

I have 4 pittie mixes they make sure to vocally tell you when you are being too loud for their liking! So true

Very true indeed my collie on the other hand can be quite a nippy little madam if someone bothers her.

Hope you feel better today? When I feel anxious, sad etc I look at my lovely little dog - she is thirteen, got a bad heart, other health problems and dying of cancer. I watch her trying to walk, eat, play and really struggling with the pain and such some days after chemotherapy and thank the Lord she is still here - for now - and realise she is far worse off than me.

I love this. I have found again and again that spending time with animals (my own dogs, or observing animals from afar) helps to put my own problems into perspective. They are such troopers, living in the moment and often dealing with very real life-or-death moments with astounding grace and "well, here we go again"-ness. They can truly teach us so much! 🐶

Absolutely thank you for noticing !
