Hey there,I've been taking Sertraline 150mg for several years now. It took a good while to get my dose correct, but when they did, it absolutely works for me.

Now, the 1st few weeks were difficult with sleep, anxiety peaks and food. After that initial tough introduction things really did get better, and have continued to remain so.

All meds will have a different effect on different people but stick with it until you're dose is correct. Do not be afraid to tell your GP about any and all side effects you encounter.

Here if you need any more honesty about my experiences with Sertraline.

Hi, I am on day 23 of sertraline. I was very scared to take it and was even prescribed diazepam as I was getting in such a panic about it. However I started it anyway and did not even need the diazepam. The first day I had an upset stomach and felt a bit strange mostly because of my own anxiety though as it was so heightened due to looking out for what might happen with these tablets. Everything was fine I was calmer in the days that followed and have gradually began to feel better, not entirely back to ‘normal’ yet and have the odd upset stomach. I have also had the odd down day but nothing compared what that would be like before sertraline.

I’m on 50mg and it has helped with my anxiety. It took a few weeks to settle and it was a tough time with the side effects but persevere with it. Talk to people and let them know how you are feeling. I kept a diary too and now when I look back I can see how far I have come. Hope this helps and good luck 🤞

Hi! I took Setraline for a few months and it worked wonders for my anxiety, but it made me act out of character (e.g. spaced out, reckless, heavy drinking all the time) and it took me a while to realize what was going on! Everyone has different experiences on it though, but this was my experience!

Hi, just to tell you that it works for me. Actually, it helped me so much when it seemed that the world was closing on me and there is no way out. I felt much better straight away. Lost of appetite and difficulty sleeping for a first week or so were the only side effects.Good luck
