I have come to realise I'm actually addicted to Junk food . Now as much as I love good health food and I do eat that to . I crave just food . I also know that the junk food is designed that way so we crave it . But here right now at this moment i could feel myself getting sad up and now eaten some chocolate not so bad . Guilty though because comfort eating isn't good for my wellbeing how to change the "Habits" of a "life time" under pressure because of my circumstances . Might be expecting to much of myself right now I thing . Why do we do that to are self's?? .

Hi,

As your post mentioned you have an understanding of when and why you do it. Junk food, as you referred to, appeals to our pleasure and feel good signals, hence their addicting qualities. Many folks will find ways to 'feel better' when they are down. Indulging here and there isn't a problem as long as it doesn't impact your daily life. If its impacting your life and health, hopefully you can reach out to your doctors to discuss some other healthier coping strategies.

Also, maybe you can find alternatives like chocolate that have less sugar and above 70% cocoa. You can look into healthier treats that have similar effects on the tastebuds 🙂

It's okay to give in here and there though, especially when you're going through a rough patch.
