Is This Site Addicting?

I don't normally post twice in one day. But, I find myself constantly checking for responses here, even when I'm texting with my personal friends. Is this wrong? Should I set a time limit on how long I spend here each day? I need a lot of opinions on this.

Hiya jeg, I try to check 'in', about three times a week n have a read through Posts. I do think, that like anything else it could become a bit addictive and time consuming. 😊✌️🌻

I like your response. The only reason I come on this site is to help people. I absolutely love doing that. I agree it's a precious thing to do. Thank you for your reply. Lots of happiness, peace, joy & love to you....

it can be a bit stressful at times worrying about people on here I guess we try to work harder to help/support them but it is amazing.

Hey, kenster 1, I just responded to your question about melatonin. Continued well wishes and good vibes, especially for a good night's sleep.

I find that I'm less depressed when not posting/reading. It triggers me at times.

I was worried about that too. That's why I asked for some help from the community in answering this question. Thanks for your reply. I wish you peace, tranquility & happiness.

Keep a bit of an emotional distance or else you may get burned, but offering support to others and finding that you’re not alone in having deep & dark pain are the upsides. The flip side is we are sensitive types so hearing folks’ deepest & darkest also hurts quite a bit. So this place has two distinct sides. There was a post today about somebody “leaving” the forum, as it no longer helps her. But I’m not sure it’s necessary to announce this. Take a break. Come back later. It’s hard to “leave” when you have emotional ties to these people. Appreciate your post and all you offer. Stay strong in your own way and step back when it’s too much to handle. Be aware that you can’t truly save anyone from themselves, as much as you want to.

That is excellent advice. You are obviously a smart and wise person. Take this evening. I'm tired now and this is wearing on me a bit. I think it's time to sign off. Tomorrow is football day for me and maybe I'll take the day off from this site. I'm also in the midst of moving right now. That is stressing me some too. Thanks for your concern. Lots of good luck, happiness and pleasant vibes.

I think it depends on you personally what you should do. I go through periods where I’m on here a lot and others where I’m not. When I am I check the app quite frequently. I enjoy both receiving and giving support and when you really need that boost it’s easy to check back a lot. I think anything that gives you a good enough feeling can be a bit addictive in one way or another but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad for you. I think that as long as it’s not interfering with your life it’s ok to spend however much time you want on here.
