Migraines

Hi Everyone, I've been dealing with severe migraine so my doctor says, dealing with swaying, slight trembling feeling in my chest, with numbness in my right leg. I'm afraid to try migraine medication. Can anyone give me feed back if meds helped you? I'm just drained of feeling this way!

Hi this is Shnookie. So sorry that U R suffering with Migraines. I’m 62 and have had bad headaches since I’ve been 9. They run in my family. Do U go to a neurologist ?There R many reasons for having migraine like headaches. I’ve recently been referred to a neurologist for my headaches. The assistant wants we to try vitamin

B-12 for a month. U can try this for now.

Do U take Excedrin or Migraine strength Excedrin ? U can at least try the B-12 to start. There R options now like Botox, acupuncture U might need to go to a specialist sending U Love

I’m here 4 U hugs 🤗 M

Sorry 😐 about the Fibromyalgia. I know someone at work who has Fibromyalgia She told me her doctor prescribed her

Toradol for her headaches and she told me that it works to an extent. Called CVS and found out the neurologist’s assistant sent me B-12 for my

Headaches. I’ll see if it works. I hope what the doctor prescribed to U help your head aches hugs 🤗 M

I've had migraines for years. Tried vitamins, supplements, over the counter pain relief etc None of that worked. I trialed a few prescription meds and finally found something that worked.

I hope you find something. Migraine can be so debilitating

Hi this is Shnookie. U R correct. My OTC Excedrin can help for about 6 hours but then I need to take some more tablets.

Stay safe M 🤷‍♀️🙏😀💪🍀🎊

I’ve tried so many prescriptions for migraines and they all make me too sick. All that’s helped is excedrin migraine pm (puts me to sleep and kicks the migraine overnight) and Advil migraine (works for a few hours which is better than nothing).

All other over the counter migraine pills made me sick too lol.

One thing that helped a ton tho is taking propanol daily!! On its own, I seem to have fewer migraines and if I take an extra one along with an over the counter painkiller, the painkiller seems to work way better

Also, I’m not sure if you’ve done this before but when I get severe migraines that last more than a week or so, I go to urgent care and they give me an IV of pain meds. It knocks it really well.

It was years before I knew, but urgent care treats migraines really frequently so if your insurance is decent it’s worth a try

Hi to be honest I dont like pain meds, I get very sick from them. I been trying cbd it relaxes me and my nerve pain in my head gos a bit numb. What really draning me swaying feeling in my head has if I'm a boat. Also seen Ear nose throat doctor did nothing said it wasn't important enough for her. I just feel like doctors are not listening to me. I just feel worse everyday.

I get so sick from pain meds too, it’s awful. So I’m not sure why the urgent care one doesn’t make me sick? Maybe it’s bc it’s an IV or something idk

I’ve tried CBD recently too!! It hasn’t helped with my head but it does help with some of the chronic pain I have.

And yeah, doctors suck at dealing with migraines and related symptoms 😭

I’ve done so many tests and seen so many neurologists but it’s been a huge waste, they don’t listen.

Have you been diagnosed with aura migraines? Yours sound similar

Hi it’s shnookie. When I get bad migraine like headaches, I don’t get auras but I can’t take any light around me. In Eastern Europe in the 1930’s and ‘40s people went to hospitals to receive migraine drips for the terrible pain. The most bizarre thing that happened was when the Nazis marched into the hospital to arrest my friend’s uncle because he was a Jew they pulled the IV with morphine out of his arm and he survived for over two years when WW II was over and NEVER had a migraine. Totally unbelievable.

I'm sorry. I know how debilitating migraines can be. I've tried meds for that and I think you can give it a try. One A Day vitamins provides overall good vitamins and minerals.

Hi. The body and mind are so complex you could have a migraine with the weakness and another type of migraine too. In lesser average or more intensity. Sometimes I just have to take pain medication too and take a nap and or have some fruit before I go to sleep. Self care is vital so I'm trying not to lose more ground with my health. Duloxetine and Gabapentin work pretty well together for nerve pain so it may help with your fibromyalgia. (One of the side effects had me dri king more water and salt though) Maybe that in addition to your pain medication will help. (I have a hard time talking to doctors too sometimes and I get confused and mess up and fotget what to say or end up saying what will make them feel better even if I'm still struggling. Writing things down to bring with me helps some. By the way did the new FMS test help in having you diagnosed with Fibromyalgia?

Hi, I'm always trying self care but at times it doesn't help. I was diagnosed by my Rheumatologist but unfortunately I've tried all kinds of medications and just felt sick. But I guess I'm desperate know its very drainging..migraines are worse then ever.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have hemiplegic migraines and chronic pain from arthritis and other things too so I understand where your coming from. Do the lights off and a very cool cloth and no noise and laying down take the edge off? That was stupid of me to say because I know how intense and painful migraine can be. Its debilitating. I'm sorry I hope your migraine will stabilize.
