It's an absolute feeling of overwhelmingness. It's feels like I can't breathe for the most part, with lots of stomach issues. I'm emotionally unstable and it tends to make me avoid issues even when I'm hurting badly. Dealing with conflicts escalates my anxiety level from 1- 10 in seconds. I struggle with expressing my hurt and staying angry and managing the possible anxiety that comes with it. My spouse goes on and off with his support and says he understands but acts so clueless. This pain is just too much and unbearable atimes. Alot of wrong thoughts perpetually runs through my head but God helps me put them in check.

Can someone please help me with a way of escape.

Hello ljecs!

Escaping for me, involves shutting down negativity and searching for the positive aspects of all situations. I have to live in today only, letting go of yesterday and tomorrow. Dwelling on the past produces depressive feelings and worrying about tomorrow produces anxiety. I’m not going to go there! Letting go of the things in which I have no control over feels like a burst of freedom! Don’t waste good, mental energy on the crap. Control your own thoughts. It takes work and practice, but well worth the effort! Give it a try! You’ll be pleasantly surprised 🌹🌞🌹

Hi Gratitudefirst, I appreciate your advice. I do this alot but once I'm hit with some down time, I nose dive into horrible feelings and the struggle to rise again is REAL.

Thank you, I will keep trying

Offer up your pain. Like Jesus on the cross your sufferings bring grace down upon earth.

"Pray without ceasing"(1Thess5:17) When you are quiet then those unwanted thoughts infiltrate and they are not from God. Remember the ears of the Lord are open to the prayers of the righteous (1Peter3:12) I will be praying for you too.

You are correct! Thanks for the help

When I was a Buddhist for awhile, meditation really helped calm me. The deep breathing exercises along with the essences really created a calming sensation.

Wow! That's interesting. I should give meditation a try, people say it helps the mind.

Thank you.

Hello ljecs, I read your post and wanted to tell you how sorry I am that you are feeling so much anxiety. I have been dealing with major depression for the past six years and anxiety is a big part of that, so I can relate closely with you. Though I have ups and downs, there have been two things that have really helped me overall: my faith and my psychiatrist. Some may see those two things as being mutually exclusive, but I don’t. My faith has provided me with the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and the Body of Christ, all three of which provide encouragement and support. My psychiatrist has provided me with a bunch of “tools” to add to my toolbox that help me deal with my anxiety and depression. Again, I am sorry that you are dealing with the “mountain” that you must climb. Be encouraged that you are not alone on this journey. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Kelvin! I really appreciate your response, and I am also very sorry about the times you feel low. However I'm excited for you that you have tools that aid you deal with anxiety. We share same faith and I honestly feel it is the only thing that has helped me keep it together.

I can't stop wondering how I got here....Crazy!

Thank you and God bless.

I’m with you, having the same issues. Did you have a stressful event happen?

I’m so sorry, you have suffered a traumatic event. There are others on here who have lost their babies and can relate, distressedmermaid is one. Maybe talking about that with others can help you heal. Peace and love ❤️
