I’ve changed my psychiatry nurse practitioner, my regular dr put me I. Effexor 150 about 5-6 years ago, we recently added buspar 5 mg to 3 times a day but cut back to 2 times a day. My new nurse practitioner put me on cymbalta 30 mg. Has anyone taken these medications together at the same time? How did they work for you? How did they work together?

Hello ChristineI have not been on your exact drug combination so I can’t comment on your case specifically but I can give you some advice.
First you can go on the internet to a drug interactions checker website and see what the possible side effects and the risks are.
I’m not a physician and I don’t know what issues you are struggling with but you’re being put on three medications at the same time to help you control whatever symptoms are affecting you (anxiety, depression, other). More commonly people are on one or two. Although this is a strong attempt to control your symptoms using drugs, it’s my humble opinion that there are much deeper underlying psychological issues/trauma that really need to be addressed.
Make sure you’re working with a good experienced therapist to help you not only manage your current state but to also see what the source could be (PTSD or any other slew of possible reasons).
Hope this helps and good luck and never give up fighting for you well being. 😀
