Lately I've really just wanted to go out with friends, explore somewhere and do something adventurous. However, due to lockdown restrictions and just busy schedules that's been nearly impossible for almost a year. Sometimes I want that life so bad it hurts, but all I can do is stay home and distract myself. Everyone tells me to just be grateful for what I have and this'll all be over soon enough, but sometimes all I can focus on is what I don't have. It's even making me really miss other times in the past even though I already know nothing good comes from that.

Feeling so isolated
I get what you are saying! Counting my blessings is a definite choice I find myself making, AFTER I have that battle in my mind which you are describing. It is HARD to have to keep saying, "This will be over soon...Just be thankful for..." BUT, when I do that, it seems to work.
It's nice to know others have the same feelings! Yet, I am reminded that I cannot live my life ON feelings. Lifting you and me up in prayer today. Let's get through this together!
Boy, I think we can all relate with your frustrations. I normally travel extensively internationally and within our country and I can't at all now. It's so sad. Here's a couple things that have helped me. 1. FaceTime or Skype friends from afar, it helps to see others and interact with them. Obviously I don't know all the details of your life but can you do that with anyone on a regular basis?
2. Do you like to read- I'm spending so much more time reading library books because I want to keep busy.
3. Volunteer to help local charities- I spend 2 days a week making a difference and helping others. I personally volunteer with my local Salvation Army service unit but there are so many worthy options! And many places are desperate for volunteers. When you give back to others it helps you feel better about yourself too.
I'd love to stay in touch and see how you are feeling down the road. Remember, you are a child of God, the best advice is to reach out to HIM. He loves you dearly. Private message me anytime!
