I have mentioned before that my husband and children are all front line workers. I now am facing my worst fears. My son and his fiance have Covid. Thankfully they aren't in the hospital but still scary. We found out just before Thanksgiving. So even though I was set against going to dinner at my mother in laws I went. With all of us worried about my son I went for my husband and daughter. I did insist upon a few extra safety measures so I could keep my anxiety in check while we ate. I would like to say I am doing better than I am but the truth is I am shaken. So I face each day hour by hour. Minute by minute at times. I'm doing the best I can and that is good enough.

You have a family full of heroes and that includes you for the support you give them. As you said you are doing the best that you can do, and that is under the most difficult of circumstances. You have our admiration. Hoping all works out.....
I wanna start out by saying, I hope that your son and his wife have a fast recovery. They are heros in my eyes and so are you!
I found out just before Thanksgiving that my mom, dad, aunt, grandma, and grandpa all have COVID. They live in Ohio & I'm in Utah. The guilt I have that I am not there to help them eats me up. My anxiety during this Pandemic has more than doubled.
You are not alone in how you are feeling. All we can do for them is what we can with the resources we have. Your support and love for your family is what they need the most and it appears you are doing amazing at that. ❤
Thank you. Try not to be hard on yourself. I cannot imagine being in a different state knowing my loved ones have Covid. If it makes you feel better my son lives five minutes away from me and there is very little I can do. I call him every day and make sure they are doing all right. Other than that there's nothing I can do. But I have hope we will all get through this together.
@mrspjsmom, thank you for sharing. it is understandable your concerns. you are proud of your heroic family. and you wanted to see them. you did the right thing by asking for extra safety measures. I urge you to stay positive mindset. focus on the positive each day and break it down into morning, afternoon, early evening and night time. and plan something positive and productive each time frame. this will help you redirect your thoughts. believe in yourself and extend grace and mercy to yourself. prayers that all involved has a very mild case and recovers quickly. let us know how it turns out please.
Glad you had the mild version. I hope your fatigue improves.. My son and his fiance have the upper respiratory symptoms but not severe. She also has lupus but her doctor is monitoring her very closely. It's been a week and they are both slowly improving. The high fevers are gone which is a relief.
I hope everyone does ok.Take care Mrs P
