My roommate played an instrumental song and described a person running to and achieving their goals. I did not hear that at all... as she played more songs, I got more sad about how positive she was without even trying. :/
My counselor had me take note of every negative thought. I became more aware of them. They were very frequent. It was so tiring to try to fight it.
I am frustrated. It is within my control, but, it doesn’t feel like it.
I know I’m a worse version of myself at the moment. I know I’m less kind. I know I’m less energetic. I know I’m less thankful. I know I’m less fun. I know I’m less productive.

Yeah it's hard to retrain yourself to be positive. Definitely takes effort. But don't give up, start with small steps and it will get better. Progress starts small.
Thank you!! I agree that it is possible and every attempt towards progress Ian effort well invested. My positivity is worth fighting for. Hope remains.
I have been discouraged recently! Especially since I had been doing so good previously.
Hi Pastel pink.I’m sure most of us who struggle with anxiety/depression have come across the “Be positive”comments On numerous occasions.Lets face it if it were that simple we would all have tried it and would be fine and dandy by now!!Life does throw brickbats into our path from time to time and certainly for some more than others You could also argue that being negative about certain aspects gives you a good handle on reality at times and therefore you are in a better position to change things that need changing .I wish you well and hope this doesn’t sound too “negative”X
It’s definitely an ongoing thing paying attention to your thoughts. It might surprise you like “wow how long have I’ve been carrying all that? Even today!” That is how I feel every time. But it’s okay. Give yourself kindness cause you deserve it
