Hello peoples (:

I just thought I’d wish everyone a wonderful day! And for those out there going through hard things, and for everyone really, this came to mind:

**Light repels darkness**

When you flip a light switch, the darkness in the area disappears. But the reverse is also true, if you turn off the light, darkness overtakes everything. Darkness cannot exist in a spot where light is, it can hide behind things that block light in the form of shadows, but the darkness is still significantly small to the light.

I like this concept, because I believe it applies to our hearts and minds. When you’re having a bad day, whether it be hard emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or even physically, that light is dimming, enabling darkness to gain more of a presence. Resistance isn’t an easy thing, so it feels easier to just go with the flow and let it happen, but you gotta be strong! Choose to do things that add light to your day. Make someone smile, compliment your loved ones and spend time with them, be kind to people even if they seem to dislike you, serve the community, do something that makes you feel good (in a healthy way), do something that makes somebody else happy (I highly suggest that one;), the list goes on (:

When you actively strive to do things that add light to your day, those bad things are forced to leave, just like the darkness disappears when you turn on a light. It won’t always happen fast, kinda like a dimming light switch. It starts out really dim, but over time, if you keep adding light it’ll become brighter and brighter, replacing more and more darkness.

I encourage everyone to brighten their life! Brighten somebody’s day today! :)

I hope something in that helped somebody!

I wish you all the best (:

Dear FriendlyDude,

First of all can I 'Echo' everyone's 'Hello', you are Very Welcome here.

I 'very much appreciate, your comments, about Light- and Dark. A Parable from my Childhood, many years ago now.... Three people were told to 'Fill A Barn', with something, and were subsequently given money (but not a great deal) to accomplish this Task. The First bought, two bags of 'straw', and covered a small area of the floor. The second bought, three bags of 'hay', and covered a slightly larger area of floor. The Third bought a candle, and matches.... and Filled the barn with Light. You Seem like, that Third man, my friend.

I always try to be Courteous, it costs Absolutely Nothing, to give a 'girl' a compliment- on her hair- or a man, a comment, about his Jacket. The Older Person, struggling along, a Cheery , 'Hello, would you like a Hand Sir/ Madam'?

I remember assisting a, very elderly, man at the Local Theatre- a few years back. I located, then Helped him to, his seat and, in the interval walked with him- to the toilet. I then quickly 'rushed' to the Bar, to order Drinks for myself and my Mother- arriving back, in time, to help Colin back to his seat. I was subsequently approached, by the Manager, and 'thanked' for assisting, this man.... I couldn't have just 'left' him, could I?

Anyway, if you will excuse me, I'm getting hungry and I have Sausages, mash and Greens- with Brussel Sprouts- to cook. Once again Welcome
