Hello my beautiful people. What do you do when you need to relax and calm your mind? Let’s share! ☺️

What do you do when anxious/stressed/sad etc...
I personally enjoy having a nice slice of chocolate cake, listening to music, playing games with friends and sharing my feelings and thoughts on this app!
Low key exercise, bath. I hate it when this happens...it’s a daily struggle..
Hi beautiful Fatima
What I do each and every day is allow time for myself 3x a day to Meditate and do
Diaphragmatic breathing. I start my day upon awakening with Imagery, Affirmations
and breathing. In the afternoon, I take a Mind and Body break for 10 minutes to regenerate
my thoughts. Once again before bed, I do Self Hypnosis Meditation and Relaxation with
breathing and fall into a peaceful sleep.
The "key" to Meditation is to practice it daily before you need it. You will find that with
practice, you are already in a state of peace, calm and control before you need it.
Should something come up during the day that you need to quiet down, it will happen
faster and more precisely within moments. Breathe dear friend. May peace and calm
follow you throughout the day xx
Oh wow that’s very specific! I’ll check out some of these techniques that you’re talking about. I never thought of practicing meditation BEFORE I actually need it. Haha I am kind of mind blown at the moment, but that makes so much sense! ☺️👏🏼
Thank you Agora1 I wish you all the best!
I like to go for a walk being out in nature and watching a good movie
I read the Quran 😊 and I pray it helps a lot
That’s awesome! How do you even manage to maintain your balance on a skateboard. I think I tried it once and ended up falling on my butt. 😂
Listen to music or take a warm bath 🛁
I like to use an iPad app called brainwave tuner with my decent headphones, try and cut out sugary drinks or full of caffeine at that specific moment, using my weighted blanket, going for a drive (I have a motability Car which Some of My care staff can drive),playing with kinetic sand or play sand and lots of other sensory equipment, painting or drawing or using air drying clay to make something, playing old games on my raspberry pi,DSLR photography, putting Pete tong on if he has done another lockdown mix and listening to music on my iPad, watching Oldskool Thomas and friends or watching my hornby Thomas set go round and around, and of course.... cat therapy,I have one cat officially and the neighbours cats just invite themselves in. If I’m to anxious, experiencing behaviors etc,I’ll take 5mg of diazepam.
Listening to music, taking a long and hot bath, meditation, going out for a walk in nature, journalling.
I believe what matters most, regardless of what you do, is doing it with intention and awareness.
For example, when you’re on a walk, try your best not to focus on the final destination but instead notice the trees swaying in the wind, birdsongs etc.
I find this really effective in grounding myself and calming down.
Calming things for me are yoga, soothing music, a movie (varies depending on mood - sad so I can cry when I'm sad, funny to lift me up, maybe sci fi so I can get lost in the story, etc.). For a quick calm down I use the 5 to the third power rule - breathe in through the nose slowly for 5 seconds, hold it for 5 seconds, then let it out slowly through the mouth for 5 seconds. Repeat a few times to calm the body and mind.
