Hi I’m new and looking for a bit of advice, I was on paroxetine after my baby daughter passed away. This changed my life for the better no more panic attacks or ocd etc, however after years these stopped working so my gp got me off them and 2 weeks ago I started Mirtazipine which worked from the first night!! I’m now sleeping and eating which I never done! I have energy and feel more positive....BUT I have this rage that is sever!! Over the most trivial things?? I’m only on 15mg due to be reviewed soon can anyone relate to this? Sorry for the long post x
Rage!!: Hi I’m new and looking for a... - Anxiety and Depre...
Rage!!
That is a side effect of lots of psych meds. I had one that was making me pissed, but it helped so she put me on something to help me from getting pissed. Unfortunately sometimes you have you take medication for side effects caused by other medications. It's seems like such a sham sometimes. I take a blood pressure medication because I take psych medication that make my blood pressure high. It's ridiculous.
Thanks for the reply, yeah it’s unfortunate but the benefits are actually life changing to me so I really don’t want to have to come off these plus it’s early days. Thanks again hope u are well.
Just be aware that it does that. I have to tell myself to chill quite often, but I still say some things I regret occasionally.
I totally get that!! I find myself crying with anger over silly things? I need to try your approach and tell myself to chill. Thanks
Hi, really sorry for your loss.
I was on Paroxetine for many years.
But now on Sertraline which is giving me certain side effects.
Having discussed with my GP he's suggested I change to Mirtazipine.
So hopefully I'll have the same results. Good Luck.
Thankyou, I spoke with my gp this morning he said this rage is just me seeing the world in all it’s glory and it will take a few weeks to get into my system. The pros are way more than the cons I used to suffer extreme sweating it was horrid but common with paroxetine, I really can’t begin to tell you the changes in myself since starting mirtazapine it’s brilliant!! I hope you also benefit from these, good luck x
