My aunt and uncle’s dog isn’t doing well. She’s about 10 years old and she is the mom of my 8yr old dog. She is a full blooded Bassett hound and mine is only half Bassett hound but looks a lot like a Bassett hound just without the droopy eyes. I’m really worried about her. Her name is Flash. She got into rat poison yesterday. They are at the vet with her now, but the vet doesn’t have much hope for her.
Meanwhile, I’m trying to get several homework assignments done online in the next hour and a half because I’ve been so busy this week, I’m just now having time to do it. Also the time I did have, my depression and anxiety just didn’t allow me to do it.
I hope this all makes sense, I’m just very upset and stressed right now.

It makes complete sense. I had a dog named Anny for 16 1/2 years and was devestated when I lost her 2 years ago. It took me over a year to get another fur baby. But, I know she is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. Take a deep breath, allow yourself to calm down and then attempt your homework again.
I got everything done on time except 1 assignment. So I’ll just have to turn it in late. I’m going to email my teacher. I’ve had so much going on this past week, but this upcoming week should be more laid back for me.
I'm very proud of you! I use to love college and looked forward to doing homework. I think that's because I did so poorly in grammar and high school and wanted to prove I wasn't stupid becuse I was made to feel that way. Keep up the great work!
I'm so sorry to hear what happened to Flash. I will tell you my dog got into rat poison. I saw it happen and we went right to emergency. They pumped his stomach and he was put on medication for a month and was fine.
I love Basset hounds. They just look so gentle and sweet. I love those ears and legs
It's good you have school to distract you while waiting to see how Flash is responding to treatment. Please keep us posted. 🐾🐾❤️❤️
Thank you! I love their ears and legs too! Since my dog Harley isn’t full blooded, she doesn’t have the droopy eyes which I like. She still has her puppy eyes even though she is 8yrs old.
She stayed on fluids and medicine overnight. She is whining again (normal for Bassett hounds) and she is eating again. They get to go pick her up tonight at 9pm. She isn’t out of the woods but she is doing a lot better.
She and Harley (my dog) have always been tough girls, but I was really worried about her after seeing her yesterday when she wasn’t acting like herself at all.
I'm so sorry to hear about Flash and will be praying for a quick recovery! Could you reach out to your teachers to explain that this week has been difficult on you? I have found that teachers and professors are incredibly willing to extend grace when I communicated with them. Blessings!
