My friendly sheep.

I have a meadow near my house and these two sheep run up to see me whenever I go by.

They have been hand raised and think that I am going to bring them their bottle. They were little lambs at first but are now growing up fast.

When I am lucky they let me stroke them. They always bring a smile to my face whatever frame of mind I am in.

Getting out for a walk, smelling the meadow grass and hearing the birds sing is always a great tonic for the soul. Seeing these sheep grow has been a bonus.

Try going out for a walk if you are feeling low and let your senses take in the sounds, sights and smells of nature, whether it is a city park, the countryside or your own little bit of garden.

Yes they are really cute

I've never seen sheep with spotted wool before! They're cute!

When I was really little my family and I stayed at a goat farm in Wales for vacation. Our host let us give the baby goats their bottles. To this day I remember how happy I was.

You're welcome🙂

So, what kind of sheep are those? Holstein sheep?

Hi Minnie

I think they are called Jacobs Sheep.

It is nice to hear from you by the way. How are you these days. I think I remember you from a couple of years ago on the website, is that right?

Man, you're good!😅 Yes, you are correct. I've changed my alias a few times over the months I've been on here for personal reasons. I think maybe you knew me as JennySailor; could this be correct?. I was the one who said that you write so vividly.

It is really nice to hear from you as well, dear! I am doing well, thanks for asking. I'm about to take over my church's newsletter, which I'm really excited about!

Hi Minnie.

Yes I definitely remember you as Jenny Sailor, that was not too long ago. I remember asking you if you do sail as I do. I think you said no and perhaps you said that you have a dog by that name if I remember rightly. I certainly appreciate your kind comments about my writing.

I am pleased you are well as I am too.

This had not really answered the mystery I have which is that I remember someone with the alias of Minnie mouse who was very ill with anxiety around two years back.

I was quite worried for her because she was unable to get out of bed at all for a few months I think, because she felt so ill. She then seemed to disappear. I had been very ill with anxiety the year before and wanted to help if I could. That would not have been you would it? Maybe someone else with the same alias. I would love to know how she got on.

I am so pleased you have a new challenge taking over the Church newsletter. That will be fun and very valuable for everyone who receives it. These things can be such a lifeline.

Very best wishes.

Aah, I see. No, that's someone else then.

I 'have' a dog named Sailor. He couldn't make the move with us to Norway, so my parents have him back in the States. I also had a dog named Jenny, who is now having fun in doggie heaven. How often do you sail?

In the summer we go once every few days, whenever the weather is good.

We only potter around the river these days. There are lovely bays to anchor and pubs on the bank to moor at where we used to go for meals. These days we tend to just anchor.

When we were young we gave up our jobs and went off to sail in the Med in France, Italy, Corsica and Sardinia. It was amazing, we saw dolphins and even whales at times.

I remember you are in Norway. How interesting. Do you get out and about to see the beautiful landscapes?

Sounds lovely!

Yes, we travel around Norway quite often. It's a beautiful country! Have you ever been to Scandinavia? If not, I recommend it.

No I have never but I would love to eventually, when it is safe to travel again. I would really like to see Fiordland.

I am mad about mountains and dramatic coastlines.

Thanks Star

I don't think I've ever seen brown or two color sheep, they are really cute.

Yes, I think they are Jacobs sheep, often more than one colour but can be just black. The patterning on the fleece of the little ones so nice. Two neat circles on her back. This can be seen when she was younger in my next post.
