Lonely and isolated

I'm new to this group, and to where I live now. We moved from our home in Hawaii to a rural community, where I don't know anyone and feel very isolated. Especially since the lockdown. I left all my friends behind, and although we still connect by social media, I feel very alone. Anyone else feel the same?

Some people have many friends and yet they are still deeply lonely....I think loneliness comes from within ourselves, its not an external thing, yes having people to talk too may help temporary, but it's not a cure. Hope we can all find some comfort and h

Thank you for this thought. You are right about it being an internal thing, but everyone needs someone at some time in their life. We are social creatures.

Yes my thoughts exactly....we are indeed social creatures. It's great that we have places like this to chat about our sorrows and successes xx
