My life change after the premature death of my mother

I’m new and struggling to make sense of why my mothers estate was foreclosed on after she passed prematurely with a mortgage and made out her will and my hole life change I lost everything I worked so hard for and she and my father worked so hard for .Because I didn’t understand what to do I was penalize by the Justice system and went through a car crashing through the house the a fire then I lost my sister and lost the home i lived in for my hole life.that my grandfather built and loosing the house ruined me financially , mentally emotionally. And I can’t get over it until I understand what went wrong.My credit was even ruined .how do you start over at 58 years of age and single .
