Hi everyone,

Nice to connect with you all.

I’ve been suffering from frequent panic attacks and am

still struggling to stop it in its tracks before it gets worse.

What works for you all?

Thank you!

Hey I actually had a panic attack yesterday and what helped me was calling a friend who knows about my anxiety or even one who has it because they understand it a lot better than most. Also getting a cold cloth for my neck had helped distract me from my anxiety and onto the feeling of the cold cloth on my neck. Music also helps and taking a hot bath or shower does wonders.

How are you holding up with these panic attacks?

Thank you so much. I will try those tips. It’s hard because I do not know someone who goes through the same thing, and when I call family and friends, it either makes things worse (not because they’re mean or anything; they just don’t know how to help) or it doesn’t go anywhere. I’m still stuck in my own head.

I could be holding up better. Yesterday was really bad - I felt like I was having a heart attack. I’m just constantly afraid of the next panic attack.

How are you holding up?

I definitely understand that. It’s hard because not many know what it’s like. Many people on this app/site are super helpful because a lot of us are dealing with the same things. I’m here if you ever need an anxiety buddy. I know it’s tough dealing with it on your own! Don’t be scared of the next panic attack though because you always get through them and they can’t hurt you! Sure they may give you some unpleasant feelings but panic attacks don’t last longer than 30 minutes and that’s what pretty much gets me through them lol! I am holding up okay, these past few days have been hard for me because of my lack of sleep and i’m trying to get my sleep back on track.

I appreciate that — would love to be anxiety buddies!

Haha and I know that deep down about the attacks, but I still struggle. The mind is powerful, isn’t it?

I’m sorry to hear that these past few days have been hard. Do you take anything that helps you sleep or practice mindfulness? I have the calm app and I sometimes use its features to fall asleep.

I would love that too 😊

The mind is definitely so powerful! It’s okay to struggle sometimes ❤️

I will PM you!
