Having a rough day

This morning I got a notification on my phone from my boyfriends pinterest account. His ex has been sending those love quote pictures. He hasn't responded to her but it still hurts that she is still trying. He also doesn't know how to set boundaries so she thinks he is leading her on when in fact he does not wish to have a relationship with her he is just very nice. We had an hour long talk today to clear things up and put things back into perspective. I then sent her a message on social media to let her know I did not appreciate what she was doing. I was really polite and nice about it but I now regret sending it because she is not worth my time. I am allowing her to take up space and time in my head. I know if he wanted to leave he would and he would be up front about it. I am just feeling really down on myself right now about sending that message because in the moment I thought it would make me feel better.

I’m sorry your day has been rough! And honestly I think it was brave of you to discuss the problem with your boyfriend, and to reach out to that chick. It was also really big of you to do it all in a respectful manner.

You did everything right and hopefully you can see your message to her as a door closing. You did your job and can move on from letting her get in your head.
