This is a difficult time for many people and made more difficult if you have other considerations such as you mention. Are you prone to depression? If so hopefully there is a mental health professional you can reach out to. If you are just feeling down perhaps some friends or close relatives. I have had some delightful zoom sessions. Sometimes seeing someones face, even on a screen can lift your spirits.

We will all get through this. The news isn't cheery and it's important to not absorb too much of it in one day... it tends to repeat. I find I like to look at the data and the articles which discuss COVID itself. I always do better if I'm smarter.

We will get through this just like every crisis. It will just take a little time. Hang in.

Sorry you are having a hard time. It is always tougher when we have an injury of any kind. It takes time to heal and regain energy. I find I can help myself feel more “productive“ or “accomplished” if I make a list of small things I can do and then focus on trying to get one at a time done and crossing it off the list. Baby steps. Would something like this help you? Since you’re not able to see your friend right now, is there another way to communicate with your friend? Such as write a letter or call? If you are creative, maybe you could make something for your friend (or even for yourself), something to focus on, do, and maybe lift your spirits. Hang in there! Best wishes to you.

I can relate. Sickness and being incapacitated for a while can be depressing all by itself. I'm having imbalance issues and have been for years. I'm tired of it but cant ge to the right medicine to make it better.

I try to tell myself one day at a time.
