I also have PTSD. From what I've learned in therapy we do a lot of things to hide our pain. Drinking is used for hiding the pain. I became a work a holic. Same idea work and cover up that pain.

I would hate to see you run into trouble with the drinking. Are you in therapy?

Covering up our symptoms does not heal us. Getting our feelings out, as painful as it may be, is the best way to deal with trauma.

I understand your pain. Our traumas May be different but the symptoms are the same.
