Very comforting message :-)

"When God's people pray for help, he listens and rescues them from their troubles.

The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope."

(Psalm 34:17-18)

Sounds nice. My faith was very strong in 2015... it’s gotten to the point where now I doubt God. I miss believing He is here for us. I don’t know how I got to this point ,...maybe pain weakened me hardened me, but I feel angry frustrated and have been giving up hope and I don’t believe He will help me. It makes me feel sad not to have a good relationship any longer but that’s just how I am now.

Hi Mary,

How are you?

Hi Starrlight,

I'm so sorry to hear this. What makes you doubt God?

There were times that I have doubts but I found comfort after I told God my unbelief and I asked forgiveness. You can be honest to God. Tell Him all your concerns because He cares for you. The Bible says, He is our loving Father. He loves us and delights in helping us.

Have a great day! :-)

I no longer feel the care he has given in the past. I just feel so disconnected from Him. I talk to Him. I’ll keep talking and maybe I will soon feel closeness again.

Yes, keep talking to Him. God knows you and He sees your pain. I pray that you will again experience His presence.

Psalm 42:11 "Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!"

I find listen to Christian music helps, as I'm really bad when I'm not doing great at all that stuff, also I found a Christian leader who has supported me though he'll and back. I also letting go of the idea that if God doesn't cure you your a bad Christian which is a load of rubbish the bible is full of people who suffered and God didn't abandon them even when they thought he had. I understand getting angry and frustrated about why me, in reality God never gives us more than * He * can handle. Hope this helps.

After difficulty comes ease and God won’t give us more than we can handle... I think sometimes though it IS too much, which is why people loose their minds.

That's why it's not no more than we can handle, it's no more than HE can handle. Because it is often too much for us to handle on our own, which is why we live in community and have others to pray when we can't. I have been in many situations where it is more than I can handle, I've ended up sectioned because of that. Life was just too much. I have also found the difficulty hasn't let up a huge amount! I have more skills and support from other people, but life is still too hard for me to handle alone. It's why I have had multiple suicide attempts and other stuff. I lost capacity because I couldnt keep myself safe. The reason I'm still here is because of the support of others through, pray, being their, physical support, professional support ect. Ect. I need quite intensive support and supervision to stay stable and our of hospital.

Hello- Thank you for sharing. I agree, God never abandons anyone. He loves us all. Have you heard about the story of Job? He is faithful to God but he lost everything in one day. He worshiped God instead of getting mad at Him. God saw Job's love for Him so He returned everything he had lost and God returned it double.

I love listening to worship songs as well. It uplifts my soul. It’s good that you found a christian leader who can help you in your walk with God. I also attend a life group. It’s good to be surrounded with people who will encourage me and correct me when needed.

You are right, God will not give us more than what we can handle and He is always there to help us. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”

Have a great day! :-)

I think it's okay to get mad and angry, it's then moving on from that.

The last bit he doesn't give you more than HE can handle but many people find that life gives them more than they can handle alone, but it's also why we live in community to help each other.
