The Kids that comfort me

Our furry friends, Tasha, Matzi, and Priscilla. Whether I’m happy or sad, they give such unconditional love.

Amazing how petting them relieves so much stress.

It’s good having them in the house. They help me feel less lonely.

Best,

MZ

I like the black one on the right. She sits like she is to sophisticated to be next to the other two.

That’s Priscilla our tortoise shell (calico) cat. She’s the older one. The boss. The other two are a year old. We adopted them from tiny little kittens.

in reply toMrZee

I see so she earned the attitude. Did Priscilla get along with the new arrivals or was their an adjustment period?

I know aren't they beautiful? One of ours sits straight up on his butt, with his front paws off the ground like a person, and we laugh at him constantly.

in reply toCrackerjack4u

Thinks he’s human? My brother had a beagle that would sit at the table like it was human.

LOL too funny. I bet that was adorable. I think ours just thinks he's the King. It's funny though because ours gets knocked over by the dogs sometimes just because of the way he sits. They've accidently rolled him several times lol.

Lol 😂 it was cute up to the time when he would eventually try to get at someone’s food. Then he was chased off the chair, but if we were just sitting their with no food on the table he would jump up on a chair and just sit while everyone talked. It was weird. What kind of dogs are knocking him over?

LOL yeah they like that food for sure. :) We have 3 Min Pins, 1 Pomeranian mix, and a mutt lol. At least they're all small, so they don't do any major damage when they roll him (the cat's actually larger than most of the dogs- he's a very BIG BOY), but when it's time to go out to potty the dogs are like a heard of buffalo LOL.

Lol 😂 so small and yet when they team up the poor cat is in trouble. That is funny.

How sweet they are. Yes, those fur babies sure do make all the difference. We have 4 cats (all feral rescues) and 5 dogs. (yelp it's a zoo around here, and I wouldn't change a thing about it :). On days that I'm really sad or totally anxious just having them all cuddled up to me makes life so much better. I also feed the feral cats outside all year long, and have been able to calm several down, take them in to get them their shots, spayed or neutered and got them rehomed or to a rescue group so they can make someone else's life a happier one. :) Gotta love our fur babies as much as they love us. Have a wonderful night.

That’s sweet what you do. My Hubby’s Mom has 7 cats. She also feeds the neighborhood ferrels as well.

Animals are joyous, that’s for sure. ❤️

Thank you, and yes they are. My daughter gets mad that I fed them, but it makes me feel useful when I'm not anymore. It does get expensive getting them fixed and stuff, so I'm not always able to afford to do it, but I'm always so glad to be able to get them to finally calm down, and be able to find them a forever home.

We have 1 that has been coming here for about 2 yrs now and was about 6 weeks old when it 1st showed up, but she/he?- (Can't get close enough to tell) is still scared to death of everything. That poor thing even though I make sure it gets fed well is still horribly skinny. Also either a dog or something must have bit a big plug out of it's side or it got caught on something because it has a huge scar on a large portion of its little body. I never saw the wound on it, just the scar. It's really pitiful but I've not been able to catch it to worm it etc. (If I pen it in a tender trap I'm afraid it will have a heart attack because it's that scared). I know if I was able to take it in it would be way too wild and skittish to ever rehome, so they'd have to euthanize it, so for now I just keep feeding it, and keep it a cat house outside to stay warm in and stay out of the weather. My husband says, " Cali or Cal (which is what I call it because it's a beautiful calico with the prettiest blue eyes) is out there waiting on you. and He'll say, Poor little thing, you're all she/he's got." Which makes me feel glad that I'm able to help it, but makes me very sad for the sweet kitty too. (I think feral cats are probably also very lonely).

Well good for you giving such a loving heart to that scared little kitty.

Years ago I worked at a school that had two strays. When I’d get to work they’d be in the parking lot waiting for me. Eventually after feeding them a few months the scared one let me pet it.

Sadly a few months later I lost that job. And what hurt me more was not seeing my two beloved strays anymore. That just tore my heart out. But I will always fondly remember them.

I'm so sorry, I bet that was hard. I'm sure they fondly remember you too. You should be very proud that you alone got one to the point of experiencing human contact for the very 1st time which is a big accomplishment.

Thank you. I loved those two strays dearly. The older one I named Sammy and the younger one Brian. Sammy would always be at the same spot in the parking lot in the mornings. He’d come up to me and be affectionate. Then when I fed them Brian would let me pet him.

Taking care of those two brought me such joy. I miss them terribly, but I cherish their memory.

That's a wonderful memory to have for sure. One of my kitties is named Sammy also. :)

Omg! Mr Zee, they are absolutely precious & beautiful! I love them so much! You have such adorable little fur babies! :)

Our pride and joy. They’re work at times. But their unconditional love always wins out. Wait until Kuno gets attached to you. It’s truly amazing. 😊

Hello MrZee! Nice to see you! You are a gentle soul 🌺 My dogs give me the same feeling...love them to death! They’re far more than a companion 🐕 🌺
