I have not told my parents or family because I am afraid my parents wouldn’t understand because my parents are Asian and think that depression is not real and it’s just me over exaggerating my feelings

I have tried to bring it up and I asked my parents what they thought of depression they say they just act sad to get attention and I am sorry if my parent have offended anyone.
