I’m going insane
Advise mental health team with emergency hospital if don’t know what doing and aggressive
Is your finger bleeding, if so place another finger over the cut and press hard, after several mins the finger should stop bleeding.
Have you cracked or torn the nail, if that is the case straighten the nail with a nail file or cut off the rough cracked nail
I used to bite my nails since being a child and it is just now I have stopped chewing, so my nails are brittle, however they will get stronger. I have problems with the nails as I crack them although they do not bleed
Are you concerned the nail will become infected if so you need to explain to your GP. Some surgeries in the UK are doing telephone consultations and only ask people to go into surgery if the need arises.
Try cleaning the bed of the nail with a weakened amount of antiseptic, or use an antiseptic wipe to clean the area. Have you any small lint bandages you can put on the cut. An elastopast may stick to the nail if it is loose
Oh I’m so so sorry I see how you have misunderstood. I only bit my fingernail to just shorten it no other reason. I am worried that by doing that I have put myself in serious danger of contracting covid
Well the chance that a live covid germ was on any of that is remote. I am a lot older than you and have mild lung disease. I have probably touched loads of such surfaces and haven't caught it! I still have to go out shopping but am observing the lockdown of course.
The chance of catching the virus is low, and the chance of it killing a young healthy person like you is much lower. Even many of those at high risk survive it! Why should it kill you? As usual it's your anxiety which is fueling your fears.
Typically it is your Anxiety causing you to fear the very worse, I cannot see you suffering with the virus, although other things can problems like mixing with others that are not related or standing to close to people outside. Stay 2m apart from others, friends colleges or similar.
I have been around on this world for such a long time and to be honest I have given up on most problems caused by Anxiety.

Gosh. I hope you can forgive your brother. Also I hope that you continue to dodge the covid virus.
