Been doing good lately but earlier tonight felt a skipped beat and went into a panic that they wouldnt stop ,my heart rate was high then the skipped beats finally stopped when i managed to calm down. Anyone else experienced this during a panic attack ?

One week ago I was in the hospital for what sounds like the same thing. I was at work and started feeling a bit off. Went to the store and took my blood pressure at one of those machines in the stores. B/P high but thought maybe the machine was wrong. Went to dr office and b/p was even higher. Seen dr who stated heart rate was very high. Did some deep breathing and other things to try to get heart rate down, was not successful. Dr called ambulance to come pick me up and take to hospital. Heart rate went down but they admitted me into the hospital for two days to monitor. Now I am on twice as much medicine as I was before. :( :(

Metoprolol, aspirin & there was 1 more 4got the name. Was already on escitalopram, bp med, cholesterol med & hydroxyzine. Not a medicine taker so don't like it that I'm on all these meds. 😢

I have had this for years on and off now. Had every test in the book , I am healthy , and i had been told it’s anxiety . It’s really scary tho , so I do feel bad for you.

Yes...palpitations, followed by panic, mine is usually triggered by my pulse being elevated...I can physically feel when it is above 90 (which isn't even bad, but my brain didn't get the memo).

I had this too tonight! It was terrifying. I’ve been having palpitations and skipped beats on and off for a few weeks but the heart-racing and panic was new and scary. Especially since I live alone and was worried no one would help me or even be able to get to me if I was having a heart attack. Thanks for posting—I’m sorry you had to deal with this, but it makes me feel less alone to read that others have experienced this as well.

Hi Lauriem4 How are you finding your anxiety now? I’m really suffering at the moment and feel this is what has been happening to me nearly every week at the moment.

I hope you’re well x
