Will Fluoxetine work a second time?

I was originally on Fluoxetine for several years on max dose of 60mg. But it gradually stopped working and everything I tried since has caused me issues.

I would really like to try it again but I'm not sure if it will work? It's been almost 3 years since I last had it and due to another illness I'm completely detox from all anti depressants I have now recovered and can take medication, my question is will it work again or am I now intolerant?

Anyone experience this ?

Sure it's worth giving it a try...I think some meds that we are on for a long time stop working and we need a break for a while. I am doing that with Cymbalta. I was on it for years best med that helped me. I went back on it a month ago and it's starting to work and today I'm asking for an increase when I have my phone contact with my nurse. An analogy when you use the best shampoo you stop using it for a while then go back to it it works better. I tried so many meds after Cymbalta and they didn't do anything they made me worse.

Try it you never know. What have you got to lose? Good luck!!

I'd be really interested in the results. I'm sorry I don't have any experience to offer other than identifying with being on it for a long time and having it stop working. I'm just off of it after a year and a half weaning process (which was a nightmare) but when it worked it was the best for me. Good luck to you.

Hi I know what the root causes are of my condition and I have a very long way to go to see any improvement. My body and brain are no way healed. Im not actually getting the mental health support I need due to coronavirus there has been an increase in other people needing mental support. You comments really not positive and you have caused me anxiety. Please think twice before expressing your own opinion and the effect it has on others. I'm not asking for opinions I'm asking a exact question for people with experience. Do not add any further comments to my post.
