Agomelatine and dental problems

Has anyone taken or is anyone on Agomelatine (UK) name and found their teeth coming lose?

Since I started it my front teeth are coming lose and two at the bottom but mostly top front two.

It coincides with me starting this antidepressant drug. It had a different name in the US. My teeth were fine before I started it. I dont want to stop it especially in view of today's circumstances. Thank you

Hi basten, I've been reading about Agomelatine and no where did I come

up with any patient reviews that stated, loose teeth, as one of the side effects.

I can tell you by my own experience that medications can cause dry mouth which

in turn can produce gum disease and/or teeth to loosen. Are you on any other

medication? Do you experience extreme dry mouth? You might want to check

with your dentist regarding what's going on before this gets too extreme. :) xx

Hello thankyou for replying. Yes I'm also on Anitryptiline which I know causes dry mouth but been on it a long time and wasnt too bad. I think the combination has made dry mouth worse. But teeth only seemed to come lose since Aglomelatine. Obviously I cant now do anything about it as dentist closed. Only to phone if emergency and they wont class this as one I know. But if I get a lot of pain they say and parscerenol doesnt help then I would speak to them. Oh well if they fall out they do...its just upset me a bit!! Kind regards stay well and safe
