Agomelatine

She wanted me to try Agomelatine, melatonine based antidepressant. Anyone can share their experience with it? I never tried any antidepressants before, could it give relief to my symptoms?? Or is it like a magic pill so you can have your life back?

I tried Valdoxan (agomelatine) recently as I am titrating down from pregabalin. It's an antidepressant but some people use it for sleep (and one or two people that i've read of have had success with it for RLS). I only tried a small amount, around 12.5mg (standard dose is 25mg).

I have been on 50mg daily of Agomelatine, for depression, foe the padt month. I feel the best I have felt in years!. Severe restless legs are 75% better. Some nights I have no rls at all.

I am now on Agomelatine, 25mg daily and feel like a normal human being. I have totally changed my diet. Lots of any fruit and vegetables, all diary, protein, wholemeal grains. No caffeine and no alcohol. NO sugar or preservatives. I eat nothing after 7pm.

Currently just gone onto Agomelatine 25mg per day. Currently having another gull on bout of RLS in both legs and arms. Very limited sleep over the last month. I can't see, and don't want a future on heavy drugs. I am trying to find a good neurologist and see what they can offer.

I never took any medication prior to the heart attack, except Agomelatine (for anxiety/depression/sleep) It's been 3 months and my mood has progressively worsened over this time. I'm very irritable, even cranky, overly sensitive and feel like crying all the time.

My Dr is talking about me trying Valdoxan (Agomelatine) for depression. Apparently it works on the melatonin pathway not the serotonin pathways and so he says it shouldn’t aggravate restless legs. Has anyone here tried it before and if so what was your experience with it.

The doctor has suggested agomelatine but I have read that it could make tinnitus worse? Just wondering if anyone has personal experience with this please? Thanks Peter

Anyone has any experience of this helping with extreme anxiety and panic but not causing sleep problems? I’m desperate for information x

Unfortunately I’m not so good I have been trying to coupe with anxiety and depression in a natural way but is not working for me ..ended up going to hospital for hep ..after talking with a psychiatrist there he decided to put me on medication again, he put me on agomelatine (Valdoxan ) 25 mg at night

I'm currently on Agomelatine, Melatonin, Diazepam and Zopiclone which are all taken at night. I also take 2mg of Diazepam mid afternoon before my daily 1hr nap. Does anyone have any experience of ADHD meds ? Are there other/better alternatives to the usual amphetamine type meds ?

Has anyone taken or is anyone on Agomelatine (UK) name and found their teeth coming lose? Since I started it my front teeth are coming lose and two at the bottom but mostly top front two. It coincides with me starting this antidepressant drug. It had a different name in the US.

Is anyone on Agomelatine (Uk)? If so, have you put on weight on it please?

On starting new tablet Agomelatine and increasing my Amitryptiline I had a tested good night sleep. I also take Zopiclone and Clonazepam. Now I get off to sleep ok but keep waking up every 2 or 3 hours and then i feel like I'm just resting when i try to go back to sleep.

I'm on Amitryptiline and Agomelatine. My weight has ballooned also my bust has gone up two bra sizes. Has anyone managed to lose weight on this? If so please tell me how as I'm not eating that much. ?

I'm trying to find out if anyone has been on a relatively unheard of anti depressant called Agomelatine and importantly did it cause insomnia or help with sleep. ? Anyone ??

Due to terrible weight gain I want to come off Mirtazapine and am thinking of trying either Agomelatine or Duloxetine but when I was on Duloexetine before I didn't sleep well. Mirtazapine is a bit more sedating. Agomelatine I'm not sure . Anyone taken these ??if so what was the outcome for you

Has anyone here stopped this drug which helped a bit with sleep and gone over to Agomelatine and if so any side effects. ??? I feel like I'm gonna explode and the weight gain has made me more depressed

I am currently on 37,5 mg of Valdoxan (agomelatine) and Zimovane (zopiclone). So here is the problem - my stomach hurts like hell and feels like burning right under my rib cage, I have head aches, I am nauseous, lethargic and have lost my appetite. It seems to hurt more when I eat.
