Sleeping with a fan on wont make you sick. We have had one on for many years. Keep in mind it is spring, allergy season. Ive had sniffles, scratchy throat off and on for 2 weeks. I too have had interrupted sleep, of course my watching to news before bedtime doesnt help. If you run a high fever, then get nervous.

I personally HAVE caught colds sleeping with the fan on. You most likely just have a cold. Please try to calm down. I KNOW it's not easy. It's so awful with all this fear mongering going on in the news. No one gets a cold or the regular flu anymore. No-it has to be Covid-19! My daughter's boyfriend caught it. He had NO symptoms. He only got tested because he was around someone that had it. My point? Like the other poster said, if you get a high fever, then start to worry. Some people will get this virus and only feel very slight effects. It doesn't mean we are going to end up dying or even very sick.

My advice-I watch the news at night for one hour. THAT'S IT. I get updates on my phone about Covid-19 and if I have the time, I might read some of them. But doing this all day is just bombarding your mind. It's not helping you, and making your fear worse.. If you have to watch, do it once a day.

I'm with you on knowing about sleepless nights...I"ve sure had them... but I agree with Hoski allergy season is upon us. My dad used to be an allergy doctor. Allergies can make you have sniffling sneezing runny nose sore throat and dry coughing. The allergies do not cause a fever. My diagnosis is bipolar 2 with major depression and severe anxiety disorder. Just know that there's many conditions which can cause you to have a slight cough and a runny nose so probably it's not all in your head... I hope you sleep well and have a good night! Thanks for letting me ramble.😀

Sorry I’m a month late! But I am having the same problem. Can’t sleep because I feel like I have the symptoms of the virus. It’s very scary but when I finally fall asleep and wake up it’s gone and I’m perfectly fine! Maybe try to take a break from all the news because it just makes you more anxious. Just live your life and try to think of all the positive things instead of the negative things. Hang in there!
