So a month or two ago I noticed when i would try to shut my eyes or squint it hurt on one side..my forehead was sore and i thought maybe i hit my head...the next day i rememebr feeling as if i had brain damage....like speech problem or something cognitive problems and my chess game when way south...it seemed to go away and then weeks later the pain squinting again and a bit of a headache..I want to say a mild double vision here and there..might just be eye strain..So i felt the head and there is definitely one brow swollen more than the other and I hit my head as a kid which maybe I forget about and never noticed? I originally had liver pains from a likely benign 4mm growth a bit scared this was a bone metastasis... or HCC..So all this dances in my mind between tumor....concussion that never healed after months..thinking it was always there and I didn't notice? What does haunt me is 2 CT scans I got and incidentally the area where the radiation goes across I believe is exaclty this place in your forehead..the supraorbital area..I want to say because I had some cognitive problems that i hit myself and forgot but then why have this eye pain and soreness that came and went and then returned?
Mysterious egg...: So a month or two... - Anxiety and Depre...
Mysterious egg...
I used to get this .. i used to get double vision... sore right side of head and face.. balance problems then the final
Straw was my eye to hand co
Ordination become terrible as in i would go to pick something up
And totally miss it or knock it over...
I thought it was something bad but my mother said have u had any head trauma or eye problems? Which when i looked back my dog had jumped on my head and face ( he a big dog) and smashed me in eye which hurt for a month after...
So i went to a well known highstreet optician and they sent me straight to eye hosp... i had a partial detached retina....
Prob concussion left
Over from it and that why... i had surgery and now everything fine....
Go to a opticians.. not only can they see if it mayb eye strain.. which used to give me such pain.. it will
Also tell if u have any other problems in the brain and eyes...
It better then worrying about it..
Cost nothing and if it just eye strain u canget some cheap glasses and ur feel much better
ty for the advice and I am sorry you had to go through that! I have an actual swollen brow disproportionate to the other one...i could have eye strain for sure
Yeh mine used to swell as i got through day... the more i watched tv or did computer work...
Eye strain really can b a problem and can make ur eyesight worse if u dont sort it asap.
Just go have a eyetest..explain what u feel and there have a look for any abnormalities or any other reason it could be happening.. it prob something really easily sorted.
I was really happy after my lasik surgery coz not only did they sort the retina i had astigmatism which was bad to and my eyesight was pretty bad in that eye... 12 seconds and i had 20/20 vision and no problems since... no glasses
Yes, I agree with Lulububs, go get an eye test. Probably the quickest way to find out what's going on here.
Also - when did you last have any blood tests? Have you had a recent CRP ( C-Reactive Protein ) test?
Have you had any jaw claudication (jaw pain when chewing food that becomes so bad it halts you) ? Any neck stiffness in the last month.?
yeah the crp was very low...you think my eye is causing a swollen forhead?
I don't know what's causing your swollen forehead. How could I possibly know ?!!
It's good that your CRP result is normal.
I would definitely call into an Optician and ask if someone could look at your eyes because you are having intermittent Double Vision and eye pain.
Keep it simple though.

You can go to A&E or phone 111 or phone Out-of-hours GP.
no my eyes don't hurt it is only a secondary pain when I squint when the lump is aching
But you said in the closing sentence of your post that they do :
" . . . why have this eye pain and soreness that came and went then returned ? "
Eye examination by a professional, who can actually see you, seems the way forward, a starting point.
You could also contact a doctor.
No one on here can answer your questions or diagnose, only offer support.
I would say - never neglect an eye problem or a swelling.
