I have so much anxiety and fear about life. I feel like I'm scared to live. I'm scared to find a new job (I'm currently not working) and I'm scared that I wont be able to handle the stress of working and I cant stop my mind from catastrophizing and being scared that I will always be miserable in life and in work. I just want to curl up in a ball and melt into the floor and never face reality because life is too scary.

I feel your pain at the moment and for the past twelve months I have felt exactly the same my anxiety doesn’t go 1 to 10 mine goes 1 to 100 I have been on medication for 4 months now and mornings until mid afternoon are still horrendous,I can’t advise you on anything but sending you a massive hug and trust the people on this site to help you they are amazing I hope you find peace of mind soon x
I’d start with working on things inside that you are good at. For most this might not be a big deal, but not working now makes you a homemaker. Get good with that. You are your own boss. Make a task list of small things to achieve and improve upon that weekly.
Make your own reality, nothing on the outside world matters, only you matter. Life is scary out there, the idea is to take all that is overwhelming you and drop them down into way smaller sizes. Being overwhelmed makes us procrastinate, and lose focus and motivation. Try to incorporate anything fun you like to do, single player games like putting together a puzzle, solitaire, Mobile phone games. Try light exercise, you can exercise alone. Taking care of a pet is something you cannot fail at. I don’t know what you might enjoy but don’t let yourself dwell and be consumed by overwhelmingness.
Just some suggestions that may or may not be helpful. I quit work 7 years ago, I decided I liked being at home and not dealing with the outside pressures, I have many things I do all day that keep me busy and still feel accomplished. Once you get things to a point where life is calmer, you are calmer, you may find you are ready to go back to work. I wish you well.
