Living in last days

I don’t know why but I get the feeling I’m living in my last days... I look at pictures of myself like looking at a picture of a person I once knew but is no longer here, when I hang out with people I just think “it’s crazy cause these could be my last days and they don’t even know it”... I hate that I think this way

You’re mourning. You just still happen to be here too. This is natural in life. Empty nest syndrome rocked me to the core for 5 years. Who was I? What do I do? God and my career saved my life.

Let yourself grieve her. Let yourself mourn what you’ll miss. Then meet the new you or create the new you. It can be fun.

Wow, you helped me look at it in a new perspective... thank you so much! I’m learning to take this day by day

You can do it. Be good to yourself and know that your feelings are valid. Old and new will crossover. Keep looking forward.

Man I feel like I’m going to just die soon... doctors say everything with me is fine, but for some reason I don’t believe them

Does this feeling stop you from doing the things you need to get done during the day?

Many of us have so much crap we really could step over that line any minute. Long ago I started telling myself ‘sure I could step over the line but will it stop me right now from finishing grocery shopping, cutting these brain slices (work), washing clothes, walking dogs? Can I have this feeling and still finish what I’m doing? So I finish what I’m doing. It’s a feeling. It’s valid for sure but we can keep going.

Don’t let it stop you from achieving and overcoming your day.

It just scares me to even do anything... some days I don’t even want to leave the house... like I want to live my life and be happy but I feel like the minute I do is when it will happen

This happens when you lose a loved one or someone you know. you doesn't say. It is also a sign of anxiety where one feels like the "other shoe will drop" But the brain is a liar--remember that. Negative thoughts circle back to negative feelings, and they are not real.

People I’ve seen and had a conversation have passed, but no one close to me

Even that can be scary. I have had an almost life-long phobia of illness and it gets triggered by such things. I have been helped by taking care of myself and doing my best to follow a healthy lifestyle of 8 hours of sleep, exercise, relaxing exercises. a diet of low or no sugar, fruits and vegetables and spiritual life that gives hope for your future and makes you feel loved.

Mine is a phobia of death... some days I’ll get the feeling of impending doom like I’ll die at any second

Yes, I have heard that description used by others--(feelings of impending doom). So you are not alone. Feelings are not trustworthy and can't harm you or kill you. I have had such a feeling, and it was triggered by a question given by a psychiatrist in a form she gave to some of us at a support group. Apparently this is a common feeling, but having it suggested as she did made it worse for me. We are so vulnerable.

Now that you mention it, when I had panic spells years ago, that is what I felt. I thought was going to die right then and there. In my case they seemed to be triggered by being hypothyroid at the time. Thyroid medication got rid of them. Of course, this was my experience and am not saying everyone with panic spells is hypothyroid. But a good check-up and healthy lifestyle can make a difference.

I feel that way every single min of the last 3 or so months but its a literal physical issue not only anxiety as to er docs sent me home with to many times for someone that doesnt do hospt unless its the only choice n this started from a feeling of really heavy legs at bed time 1 night 3 months ago. It has now turned into i went almost bald in days, i get short of breath, extreme chest pressure then head pressure which sets off ringing in my ears i never had, pulse so high its tach at rest, im not able to get out of bed for more then few min or not at all as soon as my feet r not elevated those symptoms start n i turn so dark plum my feet and legs look black there r major skin changes besides a trillion broken vessels its see thru w flashlight n a yellow/bronze color the hair on legs n head thats coming in n pushing my hair out is 10xs thicker pitch black and ive got blonde hair? I cant explain this to a dr to get more then checked for heart failure cuz i eat to inc my blood flow to temp feel ok to where im not going to pass out or die. I need help im alone w son whos watching me die ols help me

Have you ever tried Neuro meds? Temporal or frontal lobe simple partial seizures can be difficult to catch on EEG but that doesn’t mean they aren’t happening. With this being so prevalent for you, and I don’t know your meds list, a good coverage Neuro med might be helpful while psych meds may make it worse.

Just a thought.

Never tried that... I just figured mine might’ve been due to my phobia of death... right now I’ve really just been in the depersonalization stage, but I have my moments of normalcy
