I have terrible anxiety . This year has been dreadful . When i.get into.one of my really bad spells, the only thing that ALWAYS works us clonazipam. I sleep well that night and it seems to "re_boot" my brain and i can see things in perspective . The doctor keeps threatening to stop them and i am only on 16 per month but find if i use them spareingly i can manage my rampant anxiety . Am also on venlafaxine and am just beginning to feel better. How fo othet people cope?
Clonazipam: I have terrible anxiety... - Anxiety and Depre...
Clonazipam
This is s benzo and benzos always work well and instantly but the medical profession is scared of them. They would rather give you other meds that take up to 2 months to (maybe) kick in rather than clonazipam which gives instant relief.
They say it's addictive, what they mean is that if you come off it cold turkey you'll experience withdrawal symptoms. But then you experience withdrawal symptoms with every med that works.
What to do? You can pray to God,You can read a good self help book and put what it says into practice. You can engage in one-to-one therapy. Or you can spend time trying to find a med that's exactly right for you. Or you can pray to God: this often brings full recovery.
When you look at the cost/benefit i know that when i am really bad, the benefit from clonazipam is almost and possibility IS a life saver. The only weapon in my armoury if i dont have clonazipam is alcohol . If i get drunk i get a reprieve for a few hours. Again, the cost benefit in doing that is much worse than 2 clonazipam. I bet the doctors would use them.if they had our symtoms
There is another weapon in your armoury that has helped millions recover from anxiety disorder no matter how long and deeply you have suffered.
It's a method devised by Doctor Claire Weekes nearly 60 years ago called Acceptance. It involves "accepting" the symptoms of anxiety for the time being rather than fighting or battling them. Fighting causes more stress and tension: the last thing your nervous system needs.
By cultivating an outlook based on acceptance we stop bombarding our nervous system with fear hormones and this gives nerves the chance to recover.
The U.K. version of the book is titled "Self help for your nerves" and is available new or used from Amazon and Ebay.
The U.S. version has another title but as you spelt 'armoury' with a u in it I presume you are in the U.K.
I think you just need to take the meds as ordered and hopefully the antidepressant will start to do its job soon. Once it does hopefully you won't need the clonopin.
Knitting head how are you doing with venflexatine I'm taking it. Thank you.
