Terrible experience with London Psychiatrist

Can anyone recommend a therapist or psychiatrist in London?? I saw my new psychiatrist this week , he’s supposed to be one of the best . What an absolute nightmare, he was a disgrace. He spoke to me for 5 mins then literally nodded off!! Yes, I’m not joking . I had to wake him , he then asked a few more basic questions and nodded off again. I could not believe it. I spoke loudly asking him if he was asleep, and he opened his eyes and said “ I need my smelling salts’ !! He then offered me some antidepressants, which I refused because he had no idea what he was saying . He’s very old and should of retired 20 years ago ! I got up and left after 20 minutes.

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but as the evening went by I felt more and more angry with him , and very upset, I was so offended that he was only there to make money. I have complained to the heath insurance and to the GMC .

He’s name is Gerald Woolfson, so avoid at all costs!!

So now , I’m back to square one again.

If anyone knows a good therapist or psychiatrist in London please let me know

Gosh he was awful to you. You must have a GP who will refer you to your nearest NHS mental health centre in London . If you wish to go private I can only say youd have to Google one near you or again ask your GP for help. In fact your GP should be able to help you. I wish you all the best 🙏🙏🙏

I was hoping someone could recommend, because my GP is pretty useless, but thanks for the reply .

Suggest you see a more sympathetic GP. Sorry to hear that.
