Can't concentrate or think!!

I am having really hard time concentrating, paying attention to details like books, movies, listening to what people say, etc. I am always in a state of brain fog and feel like my mind is closed from outside or trapped in a dense fog, so nothing seems clear outside. Anyone facing the same issues? Are they depression related? Or is it related to ADHD? I am not officially diagnosed but my pdoc thiks its ADD. Only problem being i never had it in childhood. I am only inattentive. Need help understanding my symptoms, do they sound familiar? How do you manage those symptoms? What meds help you focus? Need sincere advice.

best to settle your thought process down don't over think things I know what you mean though.

I am also experiencing the same challenge. I have started a new job about 3 months ago, and the environment is quite fast-tracke, on the other side I have never worked in a similar space before - in fact I dont really have a stable working experience due to the issues of anxiety and always struggling to concentrate and show my competence. Therefore, today my manager called a meeting with me and mentioned that she doesnt believe that I am capable to do the job as I am always unfocused and always feeling agitated.

I dont know what to do really. I am really struggling and scared I might lose this job too.

PLEASE HELP!!!

U mentioned focus, could u possibly have ADHD? Or is this new? Just curious

I never had it in childhood, this came later while i was 19, after stress.

I experience the same symptoms and in my opinion it's both anxiety and depression. I tried an experiment the other night when I was trying to fall asleep but racing thoughts took over. I call it "deliberate thinking". I started it with "I really like the Oregon Ducks" and deliberately began thinking about just the Ducks and nothing else. Boy I love the Ducks cool uniforms, I sure like Puddles the Duck mascot - and on an on. When I ran out of Ducks stuff to think about I started deliberately thinking about something else. I kept doing that and before long I fell asleep. Do not let intrusive thoughts take over. Good karma!
