I'm new. And old.

Hi, I'm new here, feeling old everywhere else, haha. Just lonely and depressed. Upped my meds a week ago, Lexapro. I've been in/out of therapy 40+ years. Never felt it helped. Currently overwhelmed with big life changes.

Hi. I know how it feels to be lonely. I’m also on meds for anxiety and depression. This is a great site of people who care and understand what you are going through. And I know how it feels to be overwhelmed.

I’m new to lexapro. It’s made me more depressed.. nothing sounds appetizing.. feel a chest tightness and last two nights I’ve woken up in a panic at 3:30 and not been able to go back. Did you have any of these experiences when you first started it?

Well atezed, you are far from being old but loneliness can make us feel

that way. I hope you give Lexapro a chance to work for you. I have found it

a great med for myself. If you'd care to elaborate more on "big life changes"

we might be able to relate more to your issues. It is pretty hard to not find another

person going through the same issues. In knowing that it can help you not feel so

alone or depressed. Welcome to this amazing support forum atezed. xx
