One of my diagnoses is PTSD from the age of 9 months (65 now). I have been on antidepressants on and off for at least 35 years. I've been on just about all the major antidepressants and sleep aids. Currently on Zoloft which does help.

Hi and welcome
Hi tonalchemy, Welcome to this comforting site. You were diagnosed with PTSD
at 9 months old? I didn't think that would be possible. I am so very sorry. Something
very traumatic must have happened to you then that kept your depression on going.
I'm glad you are here with us. We are here for each other because we care and we
understand. Whenever you feel up to it, we are only a message away. xx
hi and a warm welcome to you hopefully the forum plays a part in you being able to manage your issues.all the best to you.
I have. pTSD. May I ask you ,why from 9 months old?
I had a tracheotomy for chronic bronchitis when I couldn't breathe any more at the age of 9 months. That's where the PTSD comes from.
Oh so sorry a friend of mine had that too, at 4 years old. Do you still get bronchitis now, or are you scared your going to get it❤️
I stopped getting bouts of bronchitis at about 15yo. Had only had a couple of mild cases after one year old or so. Ice tents. My respiratory system is a little bit worn out. I'm in the middle of quitting smoking so that will help. Yay me!
Yes ,ya you. A person who has respiratory problems, or even not should not smoke. . Good job, keep it up❤️
Thanks! Just got to fight off all of the attacks of "god, do I need a cigarette!" I try to remember that having a smoke always leaves me feeling at least a tiny bit...*awful* after a smoke. The allure of a smoke is a hard set of behaviors to modify.
Thank you for acknowledging my personal battle. ~ Daniel
Zoloft is very helpful. Do not skip a dose. The stuff give you mine zapping and headaches if you miss a dose. It’s very subtle. The only thing is sometimes I can’t cry when I want to. I recommend it overall
Welcome to the group. I'm sure you will find great support here.
Thank you for your welcome. It is much appreciated.
