Progress!

Today, my bf, L. had a sinus headache, and was quiet and withdrawn this morning.

For the first time since we’ve been back together (six months), I observed his behavior and my first thought was, “I bet he’s got a sinus headache. I hope he feels better soon.”

(As opposed to, “OMG, he’s so quiet and withdrawn! Is he about to dump me? Did I do something wrong?”)

I asked him if he was OK, and he said he had a sinus headache.

I spent NO time worrying that he was quiet and withdrawn because of anything about me. For me, this is progress.

Wow it certainly is x

That is wonderful! It shows you are getting to know him better and learning to trust.

Congratulations, that's very encouraging to hear.

Yes. His moods are not your problem and you are not responsible. Big step proud of you.
